If you’ve ever said, “I’m just so tight,” this is for you.
Most people think stiffness means they need to stretch more.
But here’s what most people miss:
You may not need to stretch harder.
You may need to move smarter.
Flexibility and mobility are not the same thing.
Flexibility is your muscle’s ability to lengthen passively. Mobility is your joint’s ability to actively move through range of motion with control.
That difference matters because real life is not passive.
You don’t just need to sit in a stretch. You need to bend, reach, rotate, walk, climb stairs, garden, travel, get up and down from the floor, and move through your day with confidence.
That is why we offer Mobility Class at Precision Pilates.
Our Mobility Class is not about forcing your body into extreme stretches. It is not about being the bendiest person in the room. And it is definitely not about pushing through pain.
It is about giving your body better instructions.
Through slow, controlled, intentional movement, Mobility Class helps your joints move better, your muscles support that movement, and your body feel more connected.
This is why mobility pairs so beautifully with Pilates.
Pilates builds strength, posture, alignment, breath, and control. Mobility training helps your body access better movement so your Pilates practice can feel smoother, stronger, and more effective.
If your hips feel tight, your shoulders feel stiff, your back feels achy, or your body just does not move the way it used to, your body is not failing you.
It may simply be asking for a better movement strategy.
Mobility Class is offered in our mat room at Precision Pilates in Nesconset, serving the Smithtown area.
Current class times:
