Start Your Pilates Practice – You Do Not Need Any Experience
Precision Pilates™ is a classical Pilates studio in Nesconset, New York, and most people who start with Pilates classes at our studio have never been on a Reformer before. That is normal. Your instructor shows you how the apparatus works, where your hands and feet go, and what the movement is supposed to feel like.
Beginner Reformer and Tower classes are capped at 4 students. Small enough that your instructor sees you, corrects you, and answers the question you were too polite to ask.

What Your Week of Pilates Actually Looks Like
Pilates Era was designed for exactly where you are right now.
Class One
(Reformer or Tower)
Book your first equipment class, Reformer or Tower, whichever suits your schedule. Come ten minutes early so your instructor can walk you through the apparatus before anyone starts moving.
Class Two
(Reformer or Tower)
Take your second equipment class later in the week. This is the one where it clicks. You already know the setup, so you can pay attention to how you are moving instead of what goes where.
Mat Classes
(Unlimited for 7 days)
Add as many Mat classes as you want. Mat is unlimited for the full seven days, and it is the fastest way to learn the order of the classical work without thinking about springs.
What Most Beginners Worry About
“I have never done Pilates. Will I be the one holding everyone back?”
With 4 people maximum in our beginner equipment classes you will always work with the other students at the same level. Your instructor will guide you, help you with the setup and provide corrections if necessary. This small group setting makes sets us apart from large group Reformer studios and gives you personalized attention in every session.
“I am not flexible or strong enough yet.”
Flexibility is a result of Pilates, not a requirement for it. The springs exist to support your body where it is today. That is the entire reason the apparatus was built.
“I am in my sixties. Is this really for me?”
Plenty of our regular clients are in their late fifties and sixties. Classical Pilates is built on control and precision rather than speed or impact, which is why it holds up well for balance, bone density and long-term mobility.
“I have a bad back. Can I still do this?”
Tell us before you book. This intro week is set up for healthy, non-injured clients, so if you are working around an injury or recent surgery, three private sessions are the safer way in. Call 631-920-4004 and we will tell you honestly which one fits.
“Is ninety-nine dollars actually worth it?”
One class is not enough to judge Pilates. The week exists so you can take a few classes, feel the difference between Reformer, Tower and Mat, and experience the first transformative results of the Pilates practice.
“What do I wear, and what do I bring?”
Comfortable fitted clothing you can move in, and grippy socks. We keep socks at the studio if you forget.
Our Studio
Precision Pilates™ Offers Small Group Pilates Classes in Smithtown and Nesconset
Most reformer studios on Long Island have 12 or more students in each class which makes impossible for the instructors to provide personalized attention to each client. We cap beginner Pilates classes at 4 and regular equipment classes at 6.
That number is the whole difference. Four is small enough that your instructor watches how you move and changes what you are doing, instead of calling out an exercise and hoping the room follows.
Precision Pilates teaches the classical method, in order, on the original apparatus: Reformer, Tower and Mat. You are not another spot in the room.
Where to Find Us
Precision Pilates™ is located at 120 Lake Ave S, Suite 24, Nesconset, NY 11767, a few minutes from Smithtown and St. James. Clients also travel in from Lake Ronkonkoma, Commack, Hauppauge and Kings Park.
